A day.

Written on Wednesday June 25, 2008 at around 1 PM

People have to get a life.  I have learned my lesson about telling family about my site and that's why no one knows about it.  Take for instance I posted something yesterday and then today The Man tells me to add a few words because it can be taken the wrong way.  So since they read the site I changed it but here I don't change anything because I think it's wrong that I can't post how I actually feel about things without certain people pitching fits and normally it's the oldest sister causing problems.  She's one nasty bitch, but the worst part is that people think they are supporting us when we pay for their trip out here.  Yeah some people take the time off work to help when it's needed but we still foot the bill in the end.

Anyway, G just got done eating a ton of blackberries.  The Man laughed at me because he asked, "Who want a Blackberry?"  So I say, "The phone or the fruit?"  It's a logical answer because I know that he's Blackberry (phone) has been ringing off the hook and that's why I answered.

I woke up today and I realized that I have a cold. I have a runny nose, sore throat, sore body (I think because of exercise) and I'm tired so there we go.  Today The Man went to his first appointment for our new Family Physician at Mayo and he's finally getting the care he needs.  He had an EKG, chest X-ray, he'll be seeing a Hypertension Specialist as well and getting a full blood work up because there are some questions about his heart.  Heart disease runs in his family, I think just on his dad's side and so because of that and high cholesterol running in the family, there are no chances being taken.  So were are going to see if the heart thing is related to a valve near the heart and if he has to go on a Beta blocker or not.

After waking up at 7 this morning, I wanted to rest longer to get rid of this whatever, I washed the bed sheets.  Hopefully it'll make a difference for us.  It was a pretty good morning, I had breakfast with the kids, took a shower, did my hair, put three loads of laundry away, waiting for the delicates to dry on the rack, emptied the dishwasher, took a quick nap while he was at the doctor and here I am trying to type this up while the kids are telling me about their boogers and not wanting to clean their rooms.  You know, the usual crap of being a mom and kids.

Tomorrow I get to be seen by the Mayo physician.  I'm not too nervous because I have pretty much done all the blood work and now that I have been diagnosed with FAP we just have to watch everything and maintain.  Since I just got back from lunch I totally lost my train of thought.  Oh well, it happens.

This blog has now taken me about two hours to write and there's not a whole lot to it.  You have to love kids and everything else because it seems like there's always something else to do, find phone sync cables, eat, sleep, laundry, all the fun stuff.

I also read that there is a possible vaccine for people with colon cancer and with the test that was ran in mice and it could be a key player with stopping colon cancer from getting to other organs.  It could also stop you from getting it again if you have had colon cancer and been treated for it.  We're getting there with a cure, they have tested a melanoma by flooding the body with healthy T-cells.  It's still a work in progress, but progress is what they are making.  Keep your hopes up because soon we'll all be normal and healthy!!
