Today has been a rough day because I don't know if I'm coming down with something or I really over did it at the gym on Monday and now I'm still paying for it today. I guess maybe I should have built up to 45 minutes of racquet ball or something. Oh well, enough complaining. I have been so tired today that I almost fell asleep on the sofa and decided that maybe I should get a little snack. Luckily I went to the store today and I bought some healthy things to eat, and I just ate some granola and OMG I actually feel awake now. So now I'm thinking I really go too long in between eating and that could be part of the problem.
I have been on this granola kick since I was told I could eat a normal diet and since I'm tired of eating Bear Naked I bought Udi's Artisan Granola and not only did I enjoy it but it has pistachios, raisins, nuts and banana chips. It's really tasty, I can only imagine what it will taste like on yogurt. I have learned my lesson now.
I have noticed that I am slowly starting to put weight on so now I really want to watch my food intake now but I'm sure I'll be fine once I actually start working out. Today I was going to start making the kids not take naps but after B's daily shower I really couldn't deal with them since they were still hyper and I was running on empty and we still have neighborhood group tonight. I don't mind the neighborhood group stuff as much, it was weird because quite a few people didn't show up last time (including The Man) and it was just really nice and laid back.
I am trying hard to get into the whole "running" frame of mind and so I've just been looking for different races to do and I was hoping that Phoenix Children's Hospital would have one but it's only for elementary school kids so I may sign B up but I have to work on his sportsmanship skills. I will update you on the progress I make in training for the next few races I want to do, I may end up adding more but I'm not sure at this point in time.
The Man is making good progress because he's doing some cross training, that's why we joined LA Fitness so he can use the pool. He may end up at some point doing a triathlon but it's still kind of cool to train like you are. We were talking about me a road bike but I decided that at this point in time it just isn't good. Well I again need to go because I need to make dinner.

The other night I was talking with The Man and I decided that I'm going to be walking in the Life Without Pain 5K race this weekend. I haven't been training like I should be but hopefully this will help push me to do so. Tomorrow we are going to play racquet ball and afterwards I'm going to use the elliptical machine. We'll see, since I'm walking the 3.1 miles Saturday I'm not going to go too crazy with racquet ball since I'm still sore from Monday. I'll be taking another break tonight from the gym since we have our weekly church group meeting.
I wanted to let you know that if you donate to my race that I will send you a huge thank you and you will also get a great mention in my blog like my awesome uncle. I will be really starting to train for the race after this weekend, I haven't been feeling all that great and I'm hoping that the rush I get from this race will help. I have decided to change my diet again since I've been having the nauseous feeling again. I'm sure that I'm just coming down with something which would totally suck! Diets can always be improved right?
So next week I go in for my Holter monitor (records heart rhythm), it should make for a fun 24 hours. Oh well, it is only 24 hours right and it's not like the 4 1/2 month restriction I have had.
I need to get going because I have to pick B up from school and do our fun afternoon thing and I actually want to take a nap today, that's how I know I'm coming down with something. If I don't post more today then I'll get you tomorrow.
